Project Description
Buddhism and the Menopause
Buddhist practice does not aim to ‘cure’ the physical effects of menopause. It offers instead a very different understanding, a way of transforming how women feel about themselves during these crucial years, bringing a fresh sense of purpose, increased confidence, and deep spiritual growth.
‘I wrote this book,’ Claire O’Brien states, ‘because I wanted to share my feeling of what I call “reassurance in impermanence” and to encourage other women to sense that the passing of each season is not just another milestone on the way to being older, less attractive and less useful, but a glorious reminder that everything turns and returns in its time.’
